ITA-STQB and REQB agree on cooperation
The Italian Software Testing Qualifications Board (ITA-STQB) and the Requirements Engineering Qualifications Board (REQB) have agreed on a cooperation. From now on the ITA-STQB will act as the national REQB board for Italy and will offer REQB exams localized for the Italian market and the Italian speaking region of Switzerland.
Gualtiero Bazzana, ITA-STQB president, states: “Requirements Engineering is becoming really important in the Quality World. The cooperation between ITA-STQB and REQB is a great step forward for the IT profession in Italy.”
Folke Nilsson, REQB chair: “We are very happy to bring the international REQB scheme to Italy, working together with the ITA-STQB. This supports REQB’s goal to be the worldwide leading program for the development and certification of professionals in the field of Requirements Engineering.”

The Requirements Engineering Qualifications Board (REQB) was established in 2006. Its members are international experts for Requirements Engineering (RE), who are working on a global RE program which is ISO17024 compliant. As a result, the board intends to create an international standard that will be recognized as the common language in the discipline of Requirements Engineering. As of December 2012, Professionals from more than 35 countries have been certified according to this standard.

The Italian Software Testing Qualifications Board is a non-profit organization, headquartered in Brescia - Italy, whose mission is to perform certification of competences in software engineering disciplines; it has started its activities in 2007 bringing the ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) scheme to Italy and thus advancing the software testing profession performing around 1000 certifications; with the agreement with REQB it will now extends its scope of work also to Requirements Engineering.
