IHE Certified Professional – IHE Foundations

The new Scheme for integrated care by interoperable IT and medical technology extends GASQ´s repertoire.

Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) has set the goal to improve healthcare provision through its IHE integration profiles for data sharing in the healthcare sector. The profiles are used globally and are recommended by the EU Commission. IHE created smooth interfaces between different data systems and thus ensure interoperability in the healthcare sector.
The IHE Certified Professional Program shows those profiles and how they can be integrated in existing systems smoothly. This knowledge can be verified by taking the IHE Certified Professional - IHE Foundations Level Exam.

The health sector is facing challenges with demographic change and increasing chronic diseases. In order to be able to offer high-quality health services, digital change and innovative e-health applications are essential. However, this urgently requires uniform data standards in IT and medical technology to ensure efficient and smooth data exchange also known as interoperability.

The IHE Certified Professionals are qualified to identify IHE profiles and apply the IHE methodology (ISO / TR 28380) to enable interoperability for existing and new healthcare environments, thereby increasing overall quality and efficiency in the healthcare sector.

Technikum Wien Academy is the only accredited training provider for the IHE Certified Professional Program.

The multiple choice IHE Foundations Exam can either be taken at one of our open exam sessions, as an inhouse exam session (minimum 5 participants) or as a remote proctored exam that is available 24/7 at any location via ProctorU.
After successfully passing the examination, the certificate will be issued by GASQ – the official exam provider for IHE Certifications.
