ISTQB® - Testing

Too little testing or unqualified testers are often the reason for poor software quality. In practice a systematic application of good test techniques is quite rare. The ISTQB® Certified Tester Scheme wants to change that. All important testing topics are explained and practiced. The ISTQB® Certified Tester is a world wide commonly used standard in the field of Software Testing. Hundreds of experts from more than 40 countries are currently working on that scheme. The program is internationally comparable because of the international set-up. That is almost unique for such a certification program. Thus it is possible to take the same examination in different languages.

Approximately 120.000 software testers currently hold ISTQB compliant certificates!

The trainings and the certification is available in more than 48 countries at the moment (January 2010). National Testing Boards make up the structure of the ISTQB®.
